About the Chapter

The Colonel David Hall Chapter NSDAR meets on the second Saturday of each month in January, March, April, May, September, October, and November. Once the business portion of the meeting is completed, we hear from a guest speaker on topics of interest.

In February, we hold our annual social, where members are encouraged to bring a guest to enjoy conversation and a meal with fellow Daughters. Each May, we organize a wreath-laying ceremony that has become a Lewes tradition. Members, guests, elected officials and representatives from the Children of the American Revolution and the Sons of the American Revolution participate in the emotionally moving ceremony.

June marks our annual trip to the Washington Memorial Chapel in Valley Forge Park, Valley Forge, Pennsylvania, to participate in Delaware Day services (as seen in the photo on the top right). In July, we serve as docents at one of the houses on the Rehoboth Art League Cottage tour, supporting their fundraising for arts education outreach. December is when we hold an open house as part of the Lewes Holiday tour. Members dress in colonial costumes and conduct tours of the house.

Please feel free to contact us if you have any questions about our meeting schedule or meetings in general.
